VISION. Our vision is a society for all where persons with disabilities have equal opportunities to achieve their fullest potential and enjoy active participation and involvement.
The Mpumalanga Association of Persons with Disabilities was formed in 1994 with the aim of addressing the needs of people with disabilities. There was also a need of establishing a provincial structure, which would co-ordinate the regional associations serving people with disabilities keeping in line with policies of the National Council for People with Physical Disabilities in South Africa.
The association is registered as a non-profit organization with 3 regional branches and 24 projects under its affiliation. The Department of Health And Social Services and the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund currently subsidize the association.
